For Skill Level: Awfully inadequate

This page is for first time players of Blackshot.Ultimate newbies' guide on what to do, what not to do and what to aim for.

Speed type characters are slightly more recommended than defensive type, although it is not a big issue.

The Shop:
The shop is huge, and any new player would be awfully confused by what to buy, especially since the 'accuracy' stats can sometimes be very deceiving. For example, a FAMAS with 6.5 / 10 accuracy is in fact usually about as accurate as Type 89 with a whopping 8.9 / 10 accuracy in terms of spread, although the recoil is much higher.
This is because 'real' accuracy is a combination of SPREAD and RECOIL. Some guns have high spread and low recoil, others have low spread and high recoil. Thus, the accuracy index given to many rifles and SMGs cannot be fully trusted.

It is important not to buy GS too early, as you are just wasting your money if you have not mastered the basics of the game. It is ideal to spend on GS, if you wish, from Sergeant Major onwards, typically. This way you can maximize your money, and use BP guns as training. (It is also unnecessary to use GS guns in the Beginner's Channel as there are many people like you who have just started the game.)

Let's start with the weapons.
I personally do not recommend trying snipers until your skill improves a little. You need to know the physics of the game and the map layouts better first, as being a sniper is both risky and rewarding. It's either you hit and kill, or miss and die. So, until you are a calm, composed killing machine, stick to either a rifle or SMG first.

My most recommended weapons for any starter are:
XM8: insanely low recoil and spread, while firing very quickly. It's damage isn't that high but since it is in actual fact so accurate, you'll probably kill someone within 15 rapid shots, as a newbie. This is a classic spam-gun, so don't tap and release like you would for many other rifles. A hybrid between an SMG and a rifle, the XM8 makes you walk slower than for SMGs but compensates with even more deadly firepower-accuracy combinations.

FAMAS: even lower spread than XM8, but considerable recoil. However, considering that this gun looks cooler and the first few shots are extremely accurate, if you fire in bursts, or learn to control its recoil while spamming, I recommend this weapon more. It's cheaper and just as deadly. Plus, you can let recoil bring you to your headshot! :)

M4A1/HK416: Two extremely popular all-rounded guns. I put them together because it's all about which you prefer. I like spamming the M4 so I prefer M4, but there's no fixed answer as to which to buy. HK416 is a little more expensive and a little more accurate, but after you master either weapon, the accuracy part is negligible. If you can live with M4, then use it. PS: they both have better damage than the previous weapons but shoot slower, so be careful with your aim in close range. You need to know your mouse very well and react very quickly, or you'll still lose out to those with FAMAS/XM8. These two are very, very decent medium range guns, and are definitely more effective than the previous two in mid range. Use it to your advantage, but keep in mind the medium recoil. (Still, low spread make them quite awesome!)

G36: One of the MOST underrated and underused guns in the game. I must correct the general view of this gun. I have used it for over 20 hours, and I love it. For such a low price, you get a gun that has the highest accuracy (ignore SCAR, SCAR is more 'accurate' but the recoil makes the accuracy useless by the third shot) in the game. It has medium recoil, maybe slightly higher than M4A1, but to compensate for it, it is cheaper and more accurate. What more do you want? This is extremely recommended if you're on a slightly stricter budget but don't want to use default guns. This gun needs a lot of practice. DON'T hold down the fire button for too long, burst fire makes it stop after 3 shots. This gun still fires very fast, but you need to let go and quickly click again after every 2 shots so that it is in smooth 8.9 fire rate. Of course, for far range you won't spray it so it is safe to hold it for the 3 shots, let go and wait for recoil to subside (that's going to take less than 1/2 a second, so be prepared to click again!)

AKS74U: Very powerful SMG, consider this if you like rushing but have a tight budget. You run really fast with it, it has a respectable accuracy and medium recoil, basically the stats of an average rifle with very slightly lower accuracy and faster run speed. But if you are REALLY serious about close range combat and couldn't give a damn about even mid-range firefights, then use an MP7 instead.

MP7: Probably even lighter, and definitely fires much faster. Consider MP7 the CQB king for its price range. However, although it has low recoil, the spread and low damage is a headache. You can't really kill someone effectively if they are more than 2 trucks' length away from you. Might turn out harder to use than AKS74U if you don't know the map very well--you need to make FULL use of a map's CQB areas and run past the sniper areas as quickly as possible.

If you feel a need to buy a sidearm, then buy a Desert Eagle. The only rule of thumb for using it is to shoot when you're NOT MOVING. You have to be momentarily stationary when you fire each shot, or the shots WILL go VERY stray, making you miss even at pretty close range. Jumping is usually less detrimental to shot accuracy than running while shooting, so if you must move around, make a jump shot. It is as powerful as a rifle, with damage slightly lower than AK47. So if you happen to run out of bullets to spam on the main weapon, this can prove a very good mid-range or point-blank weapon to finish someone off. (Not recommended for sniping, but sniping isn't recommended for newbies anyway, so LET'S STICK TO DEAGLE IF YOU FEEL A NEED, okay?)

If you want to get a good melee weapon, use a Kukri knife. This is because you probably won't survive if your first hit doesn't kill your enemy, so might as well use a cheaper one with the same damage as the knives that swing faster. That's NOT the case with melee-only matches or sniper-only matches, but generally just learn to use the Kukri if you like to melee. It is important that if you want to melee, stand right around a corner where you anticipate your enemy with super loud footsteps will walk past, but YOU DON'T MAKE A SOUND. Don't change weapon (which makes a sound), and DON'T walk and make footsteps. Stay frosty until you see him, then run at full speed towards him and melee when he's in range.

Gear you MUST equip for better chances of winning:

Armor (enemy shots will deal a little less damage)--use SMG Armor if you didn't buy MedKit, and Sniper Armor if you bought MedKit. This is because if you use Sniper Armor without MedKit, your health would usually be red after you get hit, and it's just prolonging your misery.

Agility Boost (Walk faster)--THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT GEAR. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE IT. You can run faster with it, allowing you to more possibly escape from a horde of enemies.

Magazine Extention (Gives ( 137% + 1 )Ammo, generally)--Very important for people using FAMAS/XM8/MP7, and still rather important for those using the rest of the rifles. The only rifle in this page that doesn't really benefit from it is the G36 because you can accurately kill an enemy in 4 shots with it, in general :P

Gear that you should equip if you have the extra money and feel like owning:

Elbow Grease OR Quick Reload--Use Elbow Grease typically when you're using M4 DGI-C, AK47 DGI-C (because for these two guns, the time needed to switch weapons is freaking tremendous), or any sniper rifle. Therefore for normal cases as a newbie, equip Quick Reload if you have the money for it.

Helmet--Use the MK-I helmet, not the others, but honestly the helmet doesn't help THAT much in Beginner's Channel as there are not many pros who headshot you very often.

That's generally the main pointers, and plus, remember that MedKit, although pretty expensive, can turn the tides and make you Rambo in an SD match. I recommend using MedKit only if you plan to constantly play SD for that period of time. Also, MedKit usage will usually nett you a LOSS in profit of BP per match, so it's just to improve your game experience in that you die less. Therefore MedKit is Recommended, NOT a Must.
